Dear Michigan Families, Residents, and Businesses,
My name is Diane Dunaskiss and I am running for Wayne State Board of Governors. I was a member on the Board of Governors for three terms. I wish to return to the Board and use my experience to help Wayne State navigate through some of the toughest challenges the University is facing.
The pandemic has caused students, faculty, staff, parents, and everyone else involved with the Univeristy to make change after change. What is considered safe one day is not the next day. Fortunately, Wayne State is not shutting down and plans to continue to provide world-class education to all students. Whether faculty is giving instruction remotely or in person, Wayne State will remain an example for all other higher learning institutions to follow.
I was a classroom teacher, a school administrator, a member on the Board of Governors for 23 years, and served on several education foundations and organisations. I've helped school districts as well as Wayne State navigate through challenging times. Now more than ever, I know I can get positive results for the University that has given so much back to the community, the state, and the entire world.
